Step back in time in beautiful kept old prison from a bygone era that all the family will enjoy.
Very inexpensive entry, and a huge collection of antiques and artefacts. While we were expected the museum to be more orientated around Silverton and the Gaol, the museum was mostly a collection of items, rather than information and antiques specific to the gaol. We spent about 45 minutes here, and our dog was allowed to join us all which was great.
A small cash fee is charged upon entry. The building houses many photos of days gone by people. The gaol history of inmates is also avaliable. Bric a brac from the period is also displayed.
The overall museum did not have a clear theme, it appeared to be a huge collection of outdated junk picked up from the antique shop, rather than a museum dedicated to Silverton and the goal. If the museum was fully dedicated to the goal only and it's history, I would had given it a 5/5.
It's doesn't matter type of local history you're interested in they have you covered. You could spend hours going through everything. The lady looking after the place today was so nice to talk to and my girls loved the lolly they received.
If you need to get in touch with a business, you should first look at the business's website. Many companies list their contact information on their website, including their address and phone number, on their website. If you can't find the information you're looking for on the website, your next best bet is to call the business directly and ask for it.
Another option is to search for the business in an online directory. Google Maps, Yelp, and Manta are popular options that can be helpful in this situation. Simply enter the name of the business into one of these directories and see what comes up. In most cases, you'll be able to find what you're looking for fairly easily.
Finally, you can also try searching for the business in your local Chamber of Commerce directory. The Chamber of Commerce typically has a list of all the businesses in the area, along with their addresses and contact information. If you're looking for small businesses or businesses that are based in your area, this is a good option to consider.
So there you have it! Now you know where to look when you need to find business addresses and contact information. Thanks for reading! P.S: If you need help finding a specific business, feel free to use our complete database that is updated on daily basis.
